In order successfully and accurately evaluate theories in the field of psychology there is a framework that has to be used otherwise every single theory that was ever created could not be tested.
1. Is the theory systemic?
2. Is it testable? (are you able to prove it wrong)
3. Is the theory comprehensive?
4. Is the theory applicable?
5. Is it scientific?
If you can't ask these questions than how can you judge the quality of a theory?

Falsifying a theory is quite the opposite of what you said about it being about the things you cannot see. Those are things that are seen especially when you're testing it against another tangible theory.
The blog you posted is not by any means scientific by rather opinionated. BTW, Einstein was alive when the eclipse experiment was performed in 1919 - in fact, it's the experiment that made him famous:

http://www.firstscience.com/site/articles/coles.asp

Everyone, I think, underestimates the importance of research programs. A good research program produces a lot of testable ideas even if it's not testable itself - by which mark behaviorism was a great research program and string theory is unfortunately not (given our current ability to test; of course that may change as technology improves).Anthony Francishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04312383756910469092noreply@blogger.com
