As usual I'm all over the map. I'm a bit more visual but that's related more to memory.

You can especially see the different learning styles with kids and adolescents. When teaching (swimming) you have to discuss, demonstrate, do in order for everyone to understand. When I forget to show them or describe a skill out loud, the same kids will consistently not do the skill correctly. When I describe it in all three ways, they all understand.

I wonder how much learning styles are inherent or developed? Me, I'm weak at absorbing information when I read it, so I either read out loud or say the words in my head to emphasise them. This helps. So I agree with you in the sense that everyone can learn by every style; some may be more difficult to master, ergo the person must determine ways to adapt to different styles of teaching and presentations of material.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00445050123643503160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7167131.post-1149189006383506382006-06-01T12:10:00.000-07:002006-06-01T12:10:00.000-07:00* Visual: 6* Aural: 8* Read/Write: 5* Kinesthetic:...* Visual: 6
* Aural: 8
* Read/Write: 5
* Kinesthetic: 6

multimodal. interesting.
i love listening and really like touching and seeing things.
might be the right direction

i'll have that checkedAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7167131.post-1149188966499345462006-06-01T12:09:00.000-07:002006-06-01T12:09:00.000-07:00* Visual: 6* Aural: 8* Read/Write: 5* Kinesthetic:...* Visual: 6
* Aural: 8
* Read/Write: 5
* Kinesthetic: 6

multimodal. interesting.
i love listening and really like touching and seeing things.
might be the right direction

i'll have that checkedAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7167131.post-1148902637955203612006-05-29T04:37:00.000-07:002006-05-29T04:37:00.000-07:00My scores were: * Visual: 5 * Aural: 1 * ...My scores were:

* Visual: 5
* Aural: 1
* Read/Write: 4
* Kinesthetic: 7

And I thought Improv was all about listening...
